The second annual Winter Art Market is the place to find plenty of original local art at affordable prices.
A collaboration between the Huntsville Festival of the Arts and Muskoka Unlimited, visitors will find many unique gifts at a variety of price points this season.
Pre-made gift bags containing postcards, artwork and books, unique paintings, Catajen boxes, wood carvings, pottery, stained glass and more; shopping at the Winter Art Market is a great way to show your support for Muskoka artists without breaking the bank.
Additionally, the Huntsville Arts Festival and Muskoka Unlimited take a minimal commission — far lower than you might expect — to ensure artists are well compensated while keeping prices reasonable.
“We know it’s not easy to find quirky, thoughtful gifts while staying local, but we’ve curated an art market that does just that,” says Chris Occhiuzzi, founder of Muskoka Unlimited. “We have plenty of items that make perfect stocking stuffers, as well as feature pieces to provide great gift options for the whole community.”
The Winter Art Market is held Thursday through Sunday at the HFA Studio across from River Mill Park – next to the Mill On Main patio and next to the rear entrance to The Friendly Fox.
“Just look for the blue and white Winter Art Market and Studio open signs,” says Occhiuzzi. “We are easy to find and will be happy to see you.”
The hours are from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. You can also shop online at www.MuskokaUnlimited.com and pre-order items for curbside pickup.
Stop by this week and support local this holiday season.
