Do you have the urge to buy works of art? If so, consider attending the Verge Fair. The three-day Art Market begins Friday, May 20 at Downtown (625 S St.)
The fair is “designed to bridge the gap between artists and art lovers,” reports the Verge Center for the Arts. The festivities will kick off with a Preview Night Party on Thursday, May 19, with tickets (available online) $25 for individuals or $40 for two. Sponsorship opportunities will allow you to help even more.

Later this month, on May 28-29, Verge is offering their next workshop. Here’s how the organization describes the session, for which registration is $145:
“Lithography II takes a deeper dive into the world of printing from stones. This course is designed for students pursuing Lithography I, or those who have some lithography experience and desire more.
“In this course, students will learn how to print lithographs in multiple colors using registration techniques to align the paper in the same position each time they print. We will explore printing options from aluminum plates, incorporating digital images, as well as using advanced drawing materials such as tusche wash.
All materials are included; participants must already be registered in Lithography I or have a first experience in stone lithography.
