‘The Art Market’ children’s arts and crafts event arrives this Friday at James Lee Park south of Carson City | Carson City Nevada News

On Friday, The Art Market will host arts and crafts events for children in the Carson City area, south of Carson City, Douglas County.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at James Lee Memorial Park in the Indian Hills neighborhood of Carson City in Douglas County, followed by many other similar events throughout the region in the fall, from Gardnerville to Tahoe and everywhere in between. both.

“Everyone is welcome to come experience outdoor art and creativity as we celebrate fall and all that we love about this magical season,” said organizer Jessica Johnsen. “Adults are welcome to create with or alongside your little ones. No age restriction. If you want to create outdoor art, join us!

The event includes mixed paper, fabric, felt, foam, and other materials to use as a base for each art project.

“Art carts will be stocked with all kinds of materials that can be used to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art,” Johnsen said. “Paints, brushes, goblets of water, collected nature objects, etc. will all be provided on the tables for use. Canvases, wooden pieces, autumn inspired finds and other unique finds will be also available if you wish to use them as a base for your project and at an individual price.

The cost for the event is $15, which can be paid in cash or Venmo.

Drinks and sweets will be on sale. Participants can earn “Cotton Candy Clouds Bucks” every time they visit the market.

“These can be used to purchase drinks and treats in a future marketplace,” Johnsen said. “I love the freestyle nature of The Art Market this fall and can’t wait to see what designs come out.”
