Nigerian media chiefs to attend IPI annual congress in Austria

September 15 (THEWILL) – The International Press Institute (IPI) will launch its annual world congress for journalists on Wednesday in Vienna, Austria.

The IPI, in a statement, said the congress will hold virtual and physical meetings for more than 2,000 members and will end on Friday, September 17, 2021.

“Some of the members representing Nigeria are Raheem Adedoyin whose appointment to the board of the respectable body will be ratified at Congress; Folu Olamiti, member of the Nigeria chapter of the IPI board and president of the Church of Nigeria Advent Cable Network Nigeria Television, ACNNTV and Dapo Olorunyomi, president / CEO of Premium Times. He is also one of the congress panelists.

“This year’s congress comes two years after the last one in Geneva. Last year’s congress could not be held due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Some of the topics that will be discussed are: innovation in the distribution of information on messaging platforms; Think globally, report locally: the future of information is local, ”the statement read.
