El Paso City Museums Open Overtime


Starting Wednesday, October 20, the Department of Museums and Cultural Affairs of the City of El Paso (MCAD) will extend the hours and days of the El Paso Art Museum, the Museum of History of ‘El Paso and the Archaeological Museum of El Paso.

“Accessibility to our three museums and their programming is vital for the cultural education and activities of our community, especially our children,” said Ben Fyffe, Director General of Cultural Affairs and Recreation. “The reopening and phased closure of our three museums has been a top priority and has been made possible through staff additions and increased COVID-19 vaccination rates in our community. “

All three museums will be open an additional day. Here is a list of the opening hours of each museum:

El Paso Art Museum, 1 Place of the Arts Festival

Wednesday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.


El Paso History Museum, 510 N Santa Fe

Wednesday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.


El Paso Archaeological Museum, 4301 Transmountain

Wednesday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
