City Council postpones art commission decision | Local News

MONTPELIER — Thomas Mulholland’s debut as a new member of the Public Art Commission has been postponed indefinitely and could possibly be overruled by city councilors who unanimously appointed him three weeks ago.

Mulholland, who briefly addressed advisers at the start of their Wednesday evening meeting, left about two hours later as they prepared to head into executive session to discuss concerns about his Aug. 24 nomination. When they emerged, councilors voted unanimously to place Mulholland on ‘administrative leave’ in a three-part motion that raised more questions than it answered.
