This year the favorite of the region Art in Bundjalung Market come to Kyogle on Saturday October 22. The event will take over Stratheden Street of 9 a.m.–3 p.m., celebrating the creative cultural heritage of the Bundjalung region. It features handmade arts and crafts by established and emerging artists and collectives who work with traditional and contemporary techniques and materials, including weaving, ceramics, sculpture, photography, paint and textiles.
Art On Bundjalung Market is an opportunity to see, experience and buy incredible works produced by Bundjalung artists, and it offers a unique chance to meet the creators, hear their stories and share their culture.
The event opens with a Welcome to Country and features local music, dancing and cultural family activities.
The cultural program includes local Elders who connect with the community through the sharing and celebration of culture.
