IFAM News:

SANTA FE – The world-renowned International Folk Art Market (IFAM) is scheduled to be live July 7-18 in Santa Fe.

Kicking off this year’s event is a spring preview virtual auction that features works by artists from the 2021 Market, including new market participants.

The auction preview (no auction) will open on Sunday, March 21 at 10:00 a.m. (MST). The auctions will open on Wednesday, March 24 at 10 a.m. MST and will remain open until Saturday, March 27 at 7 p.m. MST.

Participants in the auction will have the opportunity to view and bid on paintings, basketry, ceramics, clothing, textiles, jewelry and metalwork, as well as participate in unique experiences and exclusive to IFAM.

Funds raised will support first-time Marketplace artists who receive financial assistance and help others with booth fees. The proceeds also support IFAM’s Mentor to Market Artist Education program and its move to a fully digital platform to provide support to artists around the world.

“The Spring Preview Auction not only showcases unique and incredible pieces, but it also provides vital financial support to artists in the market,” Stuart Ashman, CEO of IFAM. “It has been a difficult year for artists with canceled events around the world. We’re excited to not only have our event live in July, but to give artists another opportunity to sell their wonderful work.
