Artpost reopens for the Holiday Art Sale from Saturday to December 11

SOUTH BEND — Artpost temporarily reopens November 13 for a holiday art sale from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday through December 11 at 216 W. Madison St.

Each Saturday will feature a different guest artist:

• Nov. 13: Ruth Andrews and Mike Slaski (prayer flags, artists’ books, small sculptures)

• Nov. 20: John Enrique Thompson (graphic novel, comics)

• Nov. 27: Elizabeth Kuntz (prints and greeting cards)

• December 4: Kandy Grady (hand-painted Christmas decorations, cards, prints and paintings)

• December 11: David Dodd Lee (shaped collages suspended in floating frames; collages on book covers)

Additionally, Artpost owner Kay Westhues will be offering photography, holiday and greeting cards, photo magazines and custom printed pillows for sale. Selected photographs are 20% off until the end of 2021.

Westhues and artist Jake Webster co-founded Artpost in 2009 and operated the gallery until late 2013.

Westhues is an artist and folklorist whose work spans the fields of photography, videography, audio, drawing and ethnography. She currently teaches at the Raclin School of the Arts at Indiana University South Bend and at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne.
